Writer and former Belize resident Joshua Berman knows the best ways to experience Belize—from hiking the waterfall at Lubaantun to riding horseback to El Pilar. Berman offers a range of interesting activities for every traveler, such as visiting Monkey River, bird-watching in the wetlands, and reserving a barstool at the Lazy Lizard at sunset—as well as unique trip ideas like Surf and Turf and Diving in Belize.

Packed with information on dining, transportation, and accommodations, Moon Belize gives travelers the tools they need to create a more personal and memorable experience. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Yoga Journal, Outside Traveler, 5280, Sunset, National Geographic Traveler, The Boston Globe, Worldview, and Mountain Gazette.

“There is nowhere in the world like Belize. I’ve visited dozens of countries, and never seen so much diversity packed into such a small population–all of this in an area smaller than Massachusetts.”

We want to recommend you to buy the NEWEST edition of MOON BELIZE in your nearby bookstore.

We hope you enjoy the reading!

We are looking at coming down to Portofino Beach Resort around November 1, for maybe 10 days. I like ocean front, very nice rooms, I would like to go diving, snorkeling, exploring, and definitely experience the ruins. I know I missed the Groupon, but I am hopeful we can work something out. Here is the question…. If I want to see ruins in Belize, should I spend one night somewhere else, or are the best ruins near your location? I like your spot, your site makes it look marvelous. I can’t wait to arrive. Please tell me what I should do to see the ruins I want to see if I knew what you know. Thank you so much. Best…St.
